Boris Fehse is Professor of Cell and Gene Therapy at the Dept. of Stem Cell Transplantation of the University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf. His research focuses on the development and translation of novel gene-therapy approaches, preferentially in the field of haematological diseases. He is an expert in retroviral vector technology and its use for permanent genetic modification of various target cells for therapeutic as well as research applications. He has also developed different genome-editing approaches for future clinical use.
